Unique Resource Now Available For Aging Canadians!

Those of you who have subscribed to The Caregiver since 1996 know the story about my 14-year caregiving journey with my father–and the impetus for starting Caregiver Network.
You may also know that for the past 12 years I have created web sites, resources and tools for both family and professional caregivers – for example, this newsletter, seminars and the Long Term Care Planner to name a few.
But I wanted to do on the subjects of aging and long term care planning. As caregivers and family members, parents and employers we cannot forget that we need to plan for our own aging and care needs, because we know that governments will not and cannot provide all the care we might need, want - or expect.
Well, the time has come, the work has been done and I am delighted to welcome you to the Long Term Care Planning Network’s new Online Storefront.
Click on our scrolling product lineup to view these unique tools and resources:

Long Term Care: A Practical Planning Guide For Canadians/Resource CD
The LTC Guidebook is a thorough, but easy to read education tool for families and professionals. In a concise and powerful way, it provides an overview of long term care and why it is essential for all Canadians to plan for their future care needs.

LTC Resource CD (Also sold separately)
A truly remarkable resource for Canadians not available anywhere else! The CD contains over 500 resources - including web sites, books, newsletters, magazines, articles, videos, software tools and health kits - that address the health care, personal, social, emotional, financial and legal aspects of long term care.

It’s never too early to start the care conversation…A Guide For Adult Children & Their Parents
It can be difficult for adult children to start asking questions about their parents’ financial situation, or to suggest a change in a parent’s lifestyle. This pamphlet creates a bridge between parents and children to enable a caring, non-confrontational conversation about the need for care planning.

LTC (Long Term Care) Readiness Questionnaire & User Guide
The Readiness Questionnaire is a guide to ensure that you have asked yourself the critical care questions, and have answered them to the best of your ability at a certain point in time. Planning ahead allows you to have more control over your family’s and your own future care requirements.

Critical Illness and Long Term Care Planner
Now in its fifth printing, we have added new sections on care planning and care financing solutions. The Planner remains the most comprehensive critical or long term care information management tool available anywhere.
As well as exploring all our new products, you can also download a comprehensive product and service catalogue.
Thank you for your continued support. It is because of the care that Canadians so unselfishly perform that I have created the Long Term Care Planning Network and all our new resources.
From the day I launched Caregiver Network in 1996, my goal was to make caregivers’ and seniors’ lives easier. I hope I have succeeded.
Please tell me what you think.
